I truly like this program.

I truly like this program. Studying is simple and my teacher is very committed to guiding us, explaining things clearly and making sure we remember.

Externship services are awful

2 stars because their externship services are not the best. I found my own externship site, and still they didn’t give me credit for it. Kept in contact for about a year and they opted me out without telling me that after two months of no contact I couldn’t enroll back into their externship services (which were lagging as is). It took them months to get the contract going with Walgreens. By the time they said they’d count my hours, I was no longer at Walgreens (6 months of full time employment had passed at least) and they were not willing to back track those hours at the time. Waiting on a response to this request (to backtrack my hours for externship) since they unenrolled me in externship services without telling me. Manager said they would sign off on it since “per their policy” (stepful’s response) the externship coordinator didn’t do their job (my opinion). The placement they had for me for CVS never actually happened. There was always a lag on something, and then when I got hired on my own merit at CVS after leaving Walgreens, stepful externship services coordinator turned around and told me I couldn’t do my externship hours due to “no contact” even though I had been emailing them several times for the duration of a year after I graduated the tech program. They were not helpful at all. And there were at least 2-3 people juggling the coordinator communications. I kept getting reassigned to an externship coordinator as they would go back and forth with who was doing the communicating, instead of being able to stick to just one person. It complicated the process of getting placed and completing everything.

I really liked how easy it was to talk

I really liked how easy it was to talk with the team and how flexible the program was. That meant a lot to me :)

Some of us had trouble logging into Stepful and Slack.

Some of us had trouble logging into Stepful and Slack. There wasn’t enough time to turn in assignments. Grades came late or some were missing, especially for group work. One person got a different grade even though the whole group did the same work, and one had issues but all submitted on time. The teacher also often misses class.

Honestly it was great cause it fits your sched well.

Honestly it was great cause it fits your sched well. I was working and doing this program plus real school, and I could handle it all thanks to my teacher and the Stepful team. So honestly, yeah 10/10

My experience with Stepful is going really good

My experience with Stepful is going really good. The lesson plan is well organized and the teacher is quick to respond, clear, and easy to reach. The lessons go straight to what matters and aim to help pass the NHA exam. I just began my labs and I feel very sure, thanks to the lab materials we get to do them practically. Career services is another thing Stepful gives that I’m eager to try. They assist with externship and full-time job placement. The Stepful team is also quick to answer. I had many questions and worries and each one was answered, which helped reduce my stress. This is a great program I would suggest to anyone wanting to start or grow in their healthcare career.

Classes are simple to follow, and the learning coaches are always ready to help. The assignments aren’t too difficult and are easy to finish. I’m looking forward to starting my externship soon.

Don't take their courses that have Externship because here they will fail in getting you one!

My daughter did their CMA program and they have failed to secure her an externship anywhere and are not replying to emails either.

This program is really good, and whenever I've needed help, they responded the same day and solved the issue. I would prefer more practical study guides or books, but the materials and handouts provided are very helpful. My instructor does a great job explaining things and makes sure to cover everything properly. I'm grateful for this school.

Disappointed w Stepful

The tuition for this program is $1,700, with biweekly payments of $164. While the program prepares students to sit for the NHA certification exam in May, all study materials are sourced directly from the NHA website, where students can independently purchase study guides, take practice exams, and schedule the exam themselves for $165. Additionally, the exam fee is not included in the tuition, meaning students must pay for it separately. For those who require structured learning, daily assignments, and group projects to stay engaged, this program may be beneficial. However, if you are disciplined, self-sufficient, and capable of independent study, you might find it more cost-effective to utilize the NHA website directly to prepare for the exam. If your employer offers tuition reimbursement, it’s worth exploring that option to offset the cost.

Good instructors and simple learning methods, the externship was straightforward, but it took quite a while to get placed. I wasn’t aware of the extra paperwork needed during the externship until I was already finished, which made it a bit confusing. Still, I managed to find a job fairly fast, and thanks to my instructor, I passed the NHA exam on my first attempt!

Although it’s a really fast-moving environment, you can still go at your own pace. The classes are easy to follow, and if you need assistance, the instructors are always ready to help. Stepful creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

It was a good experience

It was a good experience, the teachers were really helpful and always ready to assist. It’s a lot to do, but you got this! Career services was really good and very useful. I learned a lot of practical skills during clinicals. This place is very encouraging! I trully appreciate everyone at Stepful!

The class went smoothly.

The class went smoothly. I passed the NHA CCMA exam. My first career counselor helped me find an externship. Later, I got a new counselor and I hardly hear from him. The externship was included in the program, and I was told they had connections in my area, so it should be no issue getting one. It’s been months since I passed the test and I still have no externship. My counselor hardly replies, and the externship is still missing. It feels like they’ve just given up. They offered me a skills lab at home, but doing it would limit my chances for clinical jobs. I paid for this program to become a medical assistant, not a medical admin. Many of my classmates feel the same. I wouldn’t suggest this program unless you’re fine with just taking a class and getting nothing in return.

I’m really thankful for all the help I’ve received

I’m really thankful for all the help I’ve received, especially from Ms. K's amazing YouTube videos and phone calls, along with Nurse Sam’s helpful study guides, all of which made a big difference. I feel really lucky and honored. I completed the Stepful Program, and Ms. Tamika was my instructor – I really enjoyed learning from her! I also met some great classmates and others through Stepful ❤️ — feeling grateful.

Joining the Stepful program has made it easy for me to get my work done without any worry. The professor is always willing to answer my questions and makes sure I feel understood. I’m keeping my grades high and getting ready for midterms. I will surely come back for more courses as I continue my medical journey.

I like being a Stepful student. It's nice that I can learn at my own speed and ask for help anytime I need. The tests and quizes are good because my teacher explains things clearly and answers all our questions. I also like that Stepful checks on students. I'm glad to be a part of it.
